Welcome to our new Stephen King Book Club hosted by our favorite fiction professor and Stephen King Podcaster Kim C., host of The Year of Underrated Stephen King.
We are going to take a break from our journey with Stephen King’s psychic kids, and jump right into spooky season with our next book Salem’s Lot. Join us on October 26th @ 4pm.
This is a 1975 Classic King novel about Vampires, Small Towns and Outrunning the Past.
Ben Mears is a writer who returns to his childhood hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot, Maine to
write a book about the Marsten House; an old, frightening mansion that scarred Ben from
childhood. As he delves into the town’s history, he becomes aware that an evil force is taking
hold of the town. People start disappearing and the townsfolk begin to transform…
Kurt Barlow, a mysterious and malevolent vampire has decided to make Jerusalem’s Lot his
playground unless he is stopped.
Ben Mears, along with a small group of allies, including a young boy named Mark Petrie and a
local priest, Father Callahan, must confront Barlow or the town of Jerusalem’s Lot will
surrender to the night.
